Sift Terms of Service

Last updated: May 8, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sift, a Twitch follow-audit and guided cleanup tool operated by Low End Cartel Studios ("Sift," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Sift, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What Sift Does

Sift helps users review and manage their Twitch follows. The product is designed to let a user sign in with Twitch, retrieve followed-channel data, enrich and score that data, review recommendations, and optionally execute cleanup actions in controlled batches. Sift is an audit-first tool: review comes before action, and user decisions remain central to the workflow.

2. Eligibility

You may use Sift only if you are legally able to enter into these Terms and are authorized to use the Twitch account you connect to the service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account session.

3. Twitch and Third-Party Services

Sift integrates with third-party services, including Twitch and, where enabled, other data providers or payment processors. Your use of those third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Sift is an independent product and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Twitch.

You acknowledge that Twitch may change its APIs, website behavior, authentication requirements, rate limits, or platform policies at any time. Those changes may affect Sift's functionality, availability, or accuracy.

4. User Authorization and Account Access

To use core features, you may be required to authenticate with Twitch via OAuth. You authorize Sift to access the information and permissions you explicitly grant during authentication.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, browser, local environment, and any session state used in connection with Sift. Do not share access to your account, tokens, or local execution environment with people you do not trust.

5. Cleanup Actions and User Responsibility

Sift may present recommendations, queues, or ranked candidates for unfollow or cleanup actions. Those recommendations are informational only. You remain solely responsible for deciding whether to keep, protect, review, skip, or remove any follow.

If Sift offers batch execution, browser automation, or similar convenience features, you understand that those actions may affect your Twitch account and follow list. By using such features, you instruct Sift to perform the selected actions on your behalf.

You are solely responsible for reviewing proposed actions before execution. Sift does not guarantee that any recommendation, score, automation result, or verification result is correct, complete, or suitable for your preferences.

6. No Guarantee of Availability or Results

Sift is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, successful unfollow execution, perfect matching, or complete historical accuracy.

Because Sift may depend on third-party APIs, browser flows, local automation, and changing website interfaces, some functions may fail, degrade, or become unavailable without notice.

7. Data and Audit History

Sift may store records needed to operate the service and preserve product history, such as scan jobs, follow snapshots, decision events, execution batches, unfollow attempts, purchase state, and related audit information. Some records may be append-only so that actions remain traceable over time.

You acknowledge that preserving audit history is part of the product's core design. However, no storage system is perfect, and you should not rely on Sift as your sole archival or compliance record.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use Sift for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive activity;
  • attempt to access accounts you do not own or control;
  • interfere with the service, reverse engineer security protections, or bypass access controls;
  • use Sift in a way that violates Twitch's terms, developer rules, or platform policies;
  • resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Sift without written permission;
  • upload malware, harmful code, or content intended to disrupt the service.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or created risk for the service, other users, or third parties.

9. Fees, Billing, and Purchases

Some features may require payment. If paid features are offered, pricing, eligibility, and purchase terms will be presented at checkout or within the product. Payments may be processed by a third-party merchant of record or payment provider.

Unless otherwise stated, purchases are non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law. If a payment provider, merchant of record, or applicable law requires a refund process, that process will govern the transaction.

Promotional, complimentary, or one-time access codes may be issued at our discretion and may be limited, revoked for abuse, or subject to additional conditions.

10. Intellectual Property

Sift, including its software, branding, interfaces, text, graphics, and service design, is owned by Low End Cartel Studios or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from Sift except as allowed by law or with written permission.

11. Feedback

If you send suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or feature requests, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback without compensation or attribution.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sift disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that Sift will meet your requirements, remain available, preserve any specific data indefinitely, or operate with every Twitch account configuration, browser, device, or network environment.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Low End Cartel Studios and its operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, use, or business opportunities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability arising out of or relating to Sift will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to use Sift in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Low End Cartel Studios and its operators, affiliates, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of Sift, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or your misuse of connected accounts or services.

15. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Sift at any time, with or without notice, if necessary to protect the service, comply with legal obligations, respond to third-party claims, address abuse, or discontinue the product.

You may stop using Sift at any time. Termination does not affect provisions that by their nature should survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute-related terms.

16. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Sift at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by updating the date above, posting notice in the product, or using another reasonable method.

Your continued use of Sift after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of Sift will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there, except where prohibited by law.

18. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other right.
